Dress Rehearsal - Tuesday 28 October

Room 10
Production Dress Rehearsal

Dear Parents and family,

We have a very exciting time coming up in the next few weeks with our production and the athletics day just around the corner.
Tuesday the 28th October is our first in school dress rehearsal for the production. Please help your child to get all their rehearsal items ready to bring to school on Tuesday morning.
Here is what they have to bring:

Girls
Boys
1.     Black singlet
2.     Black shoes
3.     Hair in pony tail.
1.     White T-Shirt
2.     School blue trousers
3.     Covered dark shoes

Please be aware that I’m going to use gel for the boys’ hair to get a sleek look and I’ll be using bobby pins in the girls’ hair to make a bun.
The tour guides and little Dora should also bring their items to school on Tuesday.

It is advised to bring all clothing items in a named plastic bag, as many of the shirts will look the same.

Have a great long weekend and see you all on Tuesday morning!

THE FINALS!

The Kiwi and Pukeko Teams Poetry Recitation Finals will be held next Tuesday
(9th September) in the school hall at 1.50pm.

Thank you parents and families for all the hard work that you and your children have put into learning their poems. All children practised in class, but the caliber of performance in classroom recitals would not have been possible without some real effort at home, too.

The Finals will be organised into three categories – Year 0s, Year 1s, and Year 2s.

Again, the judges will be using the following criteria to choose 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each of the three categories:

·      Recites the poem from memory
·      Addresses the audience confidently (stance, eye contact)
·      Articulation
·      Volume and pace
·      Use of expression and personal style

You are very welcome to join us, even if your child is not performing on the day. This is a celebration for both teams. If your child is performing, please remember to keep practising!

Kind regards,
The Kiwi and Pukeko Team Teachers

Be Respectful

For the last 2 weeks we have been exploring the 2nd letter in our Reremoana behaviour chart, the B for Be Respectful.
This are our ideas of being respectful in the class.

Respect in our class.

1.  Be a good listener
2.Keep your hands to yourself
3.Raise your hand
4.Treat others like you would want to be treated.

Raise your hand.
